My comments (showing 1 to 1 of 1)
- I agree that the connectable devices are not ideal. I own the original Asus Transformer. It defeats the purpose of an ultra portable device to have to carry around a keyboard dock that is just as bulky and heavy as the tablet itself. I find myself needing a keyboard so frequently that I just end up leaving the two pieces connected and I essentially have an overweight netbook that runs Android.
The Dell XPS 12 is my pick. I have played with all of these devices in person.
The Yoga is nice, but it's screen is flimsy in laptop mode. You touch it and it bounces all over the place and eventually starts to fold back on you. Poor WiFi reception is also an issue.
The Sony Vaio duo is pretty good, but it's battery life sucks... the worst of all the devices mentioned here. It also has very uneven edges that make it feel bulkier than it really is.
My only complaint with the Dell is that it doesn't have an SD or microSD card slot. Sure it's heavy for a tablet. But if you are going to use an Ultrabook as mainly a tablet, then wait for the Surface Pro.In reply to: "My hunt for the perfect Windows 8 convertible laptop"
