VGCR-825G Review
I don't know what this cat's problems is but I bought this computer 7 months ago at Costco and have had no problems with it. I created my recovery disks no problem. He must have used crappy disks. I did catch a major case of spyware thanks to my neice and didn't even need the recovery disks to restore my computer because the Sony recovery utility in the control panel did it all. The only thing you would need the disks for is if you had to replace the hard disk. I have unfailing confidence in Sony's customer support. Perhaps he should have used the money spent on the computer on spelling lessons.
