And the distro / UI they are working on does ... ?
Is Qtopia lousy? Don't know. If I extrapolate Qt / KDE then my
logic says it doesn't, but just a guess.
As for third party support. Anything they choose other than
Symbian, Windows Mobile or status quo will be starting at
square zero for 3rd party applications.
Get it out soon. If it had the basic Palm Treo functionality it
would sell okay.
Waiting seems to be working against them. Seems they are
letting perfect be the enemy of good. By the time they release it
will not matter about backward compatibility because few of us
will care.
Perhaps the Motorola phone that runs linux will be a nice
replacement for my Palm Treo, or perhaps ...

So slow - other options exist!
What could possibly take them so long?
It was over a year ago that CMS (China Mobile Soft) was
purchased. Right?
OR
Could they be trying to maintain the dual layer (motorola chip /
native processor) relationship?
OR
Is backward compatibility the issue? (you think that looking at
Microsoft transitions and Apple's they would not choose the
Microsoft plan)
OR
Perhaps they are trying to help Microsoft justify the Vista
debacle!
Why don't they just choose Qtopia and get on with it?
