" Can I check my Exchange email at
    work on my iPhone? Nope."

Actually, I regularly check my work email (Accenture) which is
exchange based, using my iPhone. It's called webmail. It's
password encrypted and quite secure, and also very easy to use.

People need to remember this is VERSION 1 of the iPhone. As
with all new products, additional features and functionality are
coming (such as 3G and 3rd party apps next year). For me, it's a
great phone, web surfer, and music player. That's all I care
    about.

  • Don't believe everything you read
"Russia and china are working to go to the moon. Russia wants
to establish a moon base. "

Anyone can "want" to establish a moon base. Russia's space
program is hardly of the calibre anymore to actually achieve it,
    given their cash-strapped nature.

"Why would the USA want to bow out of primacy in space flight?
    This seems self destructive. "

No, throwing away billions simply to prove our rockets are
bigger than theirs is self destructive. What "primacy" are you
referring to? There are plenty of providers of launch around the
globe, from Europe to Russia to China to India to Japan. In fact,
we have had to rely on the Russians when our bedraggled
shuttles were stood down after Columbia went poof. 7 more
dead astronauts to support the building of a useless space
station that was sold on a lie.

Remind me again what the justification is?

  • Ah, the kool-aid never ceases...
"It is important to return to the moon and create a colony there.
We will be going to Mars. "

    Why?

Give me one real, non-emotional "humanity needs to explore" BS
argument that justifies this collosal waste of cash.

NASA does many wonderful things in robotic and space science,
as well as environmental monitoring. But the manned space
program, from Shuttle to ISS to this return to the moon program,
has been a pointless exercise in job creation and squandered
    opportunities for space development.
