Based on EatBrainz, which identifies your files by their audio fingerprint, but also with manual editing. Give it a shot and post here to let me know how it worked out.

You're right, I don't have teenage children, but I do have tween-age nieces and a 22-year-old nephew, so yeah, I'm aware that the genre-defines-personality thing is still around. (My 13-year-old niece had a hilarious dilemma at the beginning of the school year in which she couldn't decide whether to become emo or punk, neither of which mean what they mean to me.)
I guess my point is the oppressive top-down shared language actually gave us something to rebel against, while today's "rebels" are mostly just another marketing scheme.
