You seem to be confused on what YouTube really is. Why do I think this? Because you state in the eighth paragraph, that "the company is dealing with the problem of downright ridiculous videos being uploaded every day". Um, Hello! This is what YouTube is, silly.
There are plenty of video sites where people can see professional videos. Heck, if you want to watch professional stuff, just watch TV.
YouTube is FOR the ridiculous videos. Hence, their logo, Broadcast YOURSELF.
