Of course!
See, it's not their fault that this particular exploit allows the file to

applications."

Dedicated Mac user...
...and not apologetic. Of course Apple needs to fix this, and fast.
But I'd still use Mac over any version of Windows.

On Macs, print the document (web page, etc.) and select an option ("Open PDF in Preview", "Save as PDF...") from the "PDF" drop-down in the "Print" window. Built-in and easy! In reply to: "Convert any Office file to PDF for free"

iPhone & Panther...
...don't mix. When docked, iPhoto launches and lets you
download the pix on the iPhone, but that's it. iTunes doesn't see
it even after updating. I spent the morning after debating what
to do; a guy at Guitar World offered to let me activate it using
the in-store Mac if he could try it out afterwards (I decided
against this kind offer only because I didn't want to submit my
iTunes account data on a public box). I finally got it activated
using a friend's G4 PowerBook.

Re: ...AND NOT JUST THE HARDWARE PRICE
I call FUD...you won't need new printers...or servers for that
matter. Hook a Mac up to a Windows network and the network
will see it as another Windows box. Macs tend to last twice as
long as PCs, so unless you're in a mandatory three-year
government upgrade cycle the price issue flies out the window.
Plus I don't like being called an idiot. I'm not the brightest guy
around, but I know enough to know that I'm not smart enough
to run Windows safely or securely.

Why the government doesn't use Macs
First of all, the NSA has published guidelines to using OSX in
government systems (http://www.nsa.gov/snac/
downloads_macX.cfm?MenuID=scg10.3.1.1), so it's hardly
banned. And ServedUp makes valid points (what's the old
saying? "Nobody ever got fired for buying Windows"). Although
I'm an Apple user and would love to see them expand, I see
some distro of Linux actually making inroads into government
over the next five to ten years.

Dell has opened their own stores...
...two of them, in fact. They're both located in malls which also
have Apple stores. One is in Texas. I forgot where the other one
is.
The problem is the model: you can't walk out of the Dell store
with a computer. It's actually more of a showroom.
