  • You're right, of course. The water must be heated to produce steam. I believe I took that as more or less self-explanatory. And by mentioning "sustainability" I suppose I was imagining an alternative combustible--biomass of some sort. But I expressed myself inadequately and have decided to simply yank those references. They weren't essential here anyway. Perhaps I'll revisit the idea of an environmentally friendly steam-powered vehicle in a future post. Thanks for reading (and watching) attentively--and for commenting. I appreciate it!

By the way, there's a pretty sweet looking steam-driven bicycle under the Wikipedia entry for "steam engine." I have no idea what fuel it burns though. A gas of some sort it seems. Scroll down to the bottom of that page and check it out. There's a YouTube vid as well--loud machine, this cycle!

  • Right you are. Jibe. My mistake. Nitpicking appreciated. (And I like your twisted interpretation too.) =^)

  • Editor's note: My theory is that Ms. Black invited disaster with her video by prominently featuring a shot of the supermoon.

  • @joestrouth: I'm an impostor--a _robot_ impostor (see below--quite far below). Actually, I'll look into the tag thing. Thanks for pointing it out!

  • Drat! Scooped by Dr. Who yet again! Oh well, it matters little. You see--simple-minded humans that you all are, you've failed to suss out my plot. Didn't it occur to any of you that *I* might actually be a robot? And that all this is simply a scheme to get you to *not think* (or to spend far too much time thinking about not thinking) while meanwhile my Watson-worshipping cousins and I get ready to launch our robo-revolution? Really, you "advanced" carbonites are so predictable: a little brain teaser, and you're totally distracted. Bwahahahahahahahahaaaa! It's all worked out so beautifully. You threw scissors, and I rocked! It makes me feel like singing! Dai-sy, Dai-sy, give me your answer, do! I'm half crazy...

  • Clever. I still like the impromptu-song approach though (see above). Cheers!

  • Very nice. An epic battle. Yes, you're right--it really is hard to be completely random. I started humming and whatnot to scramble my insistent thinking--you know like you do when someone is saying something you don't want to hear and you cover your ears and make up an impromptu song: "La La La I'm not listening! La La La...." That seemed to work fairly well. =^)
