My comments

  • I have to comment on the submission by JonahSS, as his experience I can validate as being 100% fact. Reason being, I had the verbatim EXACT PROCEDURAL EXPERIENCE when attempting to make changes to my DNS. Additive to my frustrating, and to date, not resolved, experience follows: once I got my secret code access the control panel at Melbourne IT (and thinking I was really THERE, the FINAL STEP...), wrong! I was at an endpoint, and that being the endpoint with Melobourne IT, who I must note, does NOT maintain ALL REGISTERED DOMAINS. No, they also sub-contract to "approved third-party resellers," and this was just my case. Yes, I had to continue my endless hunt to now find the "authoriezed reseller of Melbourne IT that actually was HOLDER OF REGISTRATION on my (and I use the word "MY" with extreme hesitance, as I finally after what means I don't even recall, get through to the reseller - and can you guess what I'm told... They're NOT authorized to release that information until MY ANNUAL RENEWAL IS DUE (some 8 months into the future). And, this frustrated friends, is where my story ends... It's also where I ended the endless pursuit for acquiring the much needed info I thought I owned as part of owning MY domain. I simply accept the fact, after months of endless dead-ends, blank or page does not exist messages, to redirections that are too many to recollect or even care about, I simply resolve to the fact square ONE is where I am at, it's where I venture from, and yet was redelivered to, and so here I remain. Honestly, I think this is precisely where MS or MSN or OfficeLive want their customers to be. Did I learn a lesson? Yes, and I vow to make it the last time I sign-up for this course... NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE... I'm just pleased to finally come across commentary that so precisely parallels my very disenchanting experience. Thnaks JohanSS for taking the time to be so descript and accurate in your lengthy submission - it couldn't have been communicated/logged in a shorter version, as this was a lengthy run around from the getgo! Regrets for time wasted, grateful for lesson learned... Thanks much, DrTBB In reply to: "Don't get screwed by Microsoft Office Live Small Business"
