Uh it's Infringed not Stole
you cannot steal someones patient, you can only infringe the patient. In order to steal a patient you would have to go and change the ownership information on the patients from the original owners to yourself. also how old are these paitents? I thought paitents were for only seven years with one extension allowed if you made an improvement then they went into public domain, at least that's what the founding fathers intended.

State of Louisiana not upgrading
The State of Louisiana has NO plans to upgrade to Vista, and they have informed their MS Rep of this. The hardware requirements are too steep, the standard PC for a state worker has a low-end video card, minimum memory, limited e-mail and No web browsing software. so why would they want this bloated mess? BTW my contact at the state says that he has talked to IT managers from other states and they also do not plan to upgrade.

Counterfeit Capacitors
This is not a recient development, over a year ago several of the electrical engeneering magazines were warning of bad caps. they repored that chinese sub-contractors were having local shops make counterfeit caps for them instead of using the suppliers that their contracts specified. I.E. a contract specefied that they were to make 100,000 motherboards for a OEM using components from suppliers that the OEM specified, instead of using the OEM's suppliers the chinese contractors give samples of genuine components to a local shop so they can copy the design. by doing this they can make the boards cheeper than usual and make more profit. the engineering mag estimated that at least 80% of consumer and military electronics have bad capacitors.

What if I remove it?
I don't know about you but if I buy a car that has one of these I will Cut the wires to it and remove it, it should not be required to run the car, and if for some reason the car's computer requires it i can replace that too, you can always replace the carborator and dstributor with pre-computer components and run your car fine.
