Camera Phone Jammer Availability
Please let us know how to download and install the software patch, esp. for the iPhone, when available.

Also, please let us know where to tell our companies to purchase the jamming hardware.

Finally, in the likelihood that our companies are slow on the uptake, hopefully the software can be used to semi-permanently disable the camera.

Actually I had better luck than rp1173. My HP Photosmart C6180 worked for about a month before dying with error code 0xc18a0001 Ink System Failure: Unable to copy, receive faxes or print. The front panel message referred me to the printer documentation. The quick start guide referred me to the Basics Guide. The Basics Guide had no information on this error. My Google searches turned up just these few postings about similar experiences.

Next, I scraped bright spots onto the electrical contacts on all of the ink cartridges at their points of contact with the printer's contact pins and restarted the printer. Same error.

Next, I replaced all of the ink cartridges (I always stock spares) and restarted the printer. Same error.

Based on the web lore, I'd be wasting my time to try anything further, except to return the unit for a different brand, as the postings I've found apply to more than one HP model. This suggests the failure resides in a basic system component common to many or all of the HP multifunction printers. In reply to: "Never even got a print out of it"
