Sorry no more Cancer cash from me
Well I have tired of the Cancer cash grab that has been going on for YEARS! Billions of $$ have gone into it (how much has been spent BTW) and what have we gotten? I would have to say we are getting nowhere for our cancer $$, but someone is getting richer (drug companies, treatment centres).

Hopefully better build quality than thier PDA'S
Well lets jsut hope that Toshiba builds a better quality phone than their past PDA's. The E8x0 series had a notorious habit of cracking/breaking in the top corners of the PDA. Out of warranty this is an over $100 fix for a REAL DESIGN FLaw. Toshiba you stopped building quaity some time ago and your lack of customer care has put you on my never buy Toshiba list.

Come on, get life!
Geez!
I am no Microsoft lover, but these complaints of bribery are stupid. There are no strings attached, you can write what you want, how you want on a brand new system. You can keep, give away or give back...hardly forcing anything on anyone.
Microsoft is one of the few companies that has the resources to do this, good for them to put out a no strings promotion like this. To the complainers, get a life!

Is there anything the EU won't tax?
Gosh is there anything the EU won't tax? How come those people don't have some kind of tax revolt...there must be a limit to what these people will pay in taxes.

What is wrong with putting $$ in trust and ?
So seeing as one of the patents has been shown invalid, why not put an agreed upon amount in trust until all patents in question have been reviewed?
Also I question why if it was known years ago that RIM had violated these patents, it took so long to enforce them? There should be some onus on the holder of the supposed infringing patents to make a timely claim of the patent(s).
BTW it seems that there is a major flaw in the patent system, where you can patent something and never use the patent you gained to develop a product or service. To me if you are going to patent something, you should be required to have a viable product/service within a given amount of time.

No Rights for consumers at all
I like this comment:
"I think that the record industry is the most greedy, selfish, legal Goliath that is trampling on the rights of artists," he said."
I think you can assign this comment tomost anything that has to do with entertainment in Canada for the general population.
Do you realize that you are considered a criminal in Canada if you purchase your satellite TV programming from an american provider instead of a canadian one? The penalty is the same as if you stole the services.
I think all these media companies have had too much control over the consumer and they don't like that they are fighting back by alot of them buying from other sources and buying only the songs they want. With all this protectist attitude all consumer rights seems to be going out the window to protect the big corporations margins.
Canada - The next communist country.

This is ridiculous
First off how can running homebrew software void you warranty...I would really like to see this one end up in court, Sony would surely lose!
Second, a person who owns a PSP or any other piece of hardware OWNS it, not the manufacturer and they have a right to run what they wish on it. As long as you don't break any laws, there is nothing they should not be able to stop you from using it they any way you wish.

The Land of the Lawsuits!
God it seems that every time you turn around there is a lawsuit! How about companies that patent something actually have to make a product for it?? Or how about not waiting countless years to assert patent rights, then suing everybody!
The good ol' US of A, land of the lawsuits!

Don't EVER toy with pricing until the market is secure
Market secure...you know what in this day and age it will never be secure and should not be! If these vultures want to rob the consumer then they are just feeding the get it free mentality.
They jsut will never learn that you can't keep robbing the consumer.
