  • You always forget you're global...
Who cares about 3G in the USA? You are so non-influent in the mobile business. The problems are UMTS in Europe and W-CDMA in Asia. But they have a year to upgrade to...

Price is not high at all: next month Nokia will introduce the N93, and until their world meeting (end of nov06, wrote about it here sorry it's italian http://www.infoservi.it/dblog/articolo.asp?articolo=219) they were speaking of a price point around 700 euros (euros, not dollars)

So this post looks really like hype, while the iPhone is such a clear idea with a brilliant approach... Give em some time

  • And what about CNET Networks?
Nice story. Why don't tell about the tens of web sites CNET closed around the world? And it was for labour cost or management ability? It's the "publisher's dream": making a web site (a magazine, a newspaper) without journalists, or at list with not payed university level stagiaire. Try to speak about strategy. Managers simply don't know what it is. The only strategy they have is "how to survive the quarter in front of the boss". They are too occupied to survive to actually do business. And you say problem is staff cost? Maybe. Your cost, actually.
