- While 5 million is great, as it launched in more countries than the 4S, the net average per country went down. Then add the net increase against opening weekend 4S sales and the 5 only beat it by 25% where the 4S beat the 4 by over 100%. When you add these into the context, you can see why most forecasters were surprised at he 5 million number.

- The 4S was launched in 7 countries compared to the 5 was launched in 9. This means the average sell per country dropped for he 5. Now add the increase over the 4S was only 25% compared to the 100%+ for the 4S over the 4.
Somebody missed something with this one.

- Don't confuse upgrade with upgraded function.
I upgraded a 3GS - it slowed a lot of things down, for the mat part downgraded the internal functions, downgraded my email and maps. A slightly faster Safari and security updates ( I think ) was all I really got out of it ... Oh, and less RAM for my apps.
Sorry, if you all that a real upgrade.....
