Which iPhone chess app are you talking about , Tom? From their descriptions at the App Store, it doesn't seem like either Chess Lite or Chess Pro can do the "play a game with Contacts" iPhone-to-iPhone thing you were talking about, which is the most important part of the app for me. "Chess With Friends" maybe? Which specific one do you use?

Cheers.

Thank you for a very intriguing episode, however, I'm still one of those lone Palm holdouts and was disappointed to not hear of any applications related to Palm OS on this episode. Does this make me think that you're planning an entire episode dedicated to Palm? I probably don't think that'll happen but it would be nice once the Pre is released to have such an episode.

You guys do a great job and keep up the wonderful work!

Dwayne

I use CompanionLink to sync Outlook/Lotus Notes with Google. Then, use the free Google Sync (BETA) to OTA sync with my phone.

For less than $30, I have a complete two-way sync solution that works better than any other.

Finally! I get my email read on a CNET episode. It makes me feel special! BTW, I'm Ross in CT for those of you who don't know, and CT does stand for Connecticut.

Window Mobile, I like Skyfire Browser it give you flash streaming video just like on a pc. Orb is also very good. It is excellent like for streaming most radio stations is your orb, but even easier is www.streamcenter.com this allows you to listen to you favorite local or reginal stations using your mobile media player. Goggle maps is great also, I am on T mobile and have a Dash so for google maps I need to used www.surrealnetworks.com unlock app. Google will then use cell towers for your location, poor mans gps. WiFiFoFum2 is a good war driving app shows open networks. Surreal Networks also has a Pocket Nestor that will let you play lots of old NES games on your Win Mobile. Live Search is good with the voice recognition. Opera Mini was good till I found SkyFire. Skype has always been there working on WiFi but also on the edge network, calls out and saves minutes. The one app that is so small and simple is BTaudio it out puts all audio to your bluetooth ear piece ... so you can hear music , audio, and your messages in your all and no one knows you have music on.

Cool, loved the mention of Cram. We did a search today and was surprised to see this. Only one thing...we are called SimpleLeap Software (the user who typed it was right), but little name mistake aside loved just hearing that someone is enjoying the app.

I only have an iPod Touch....but to add to those above: France 24 (great streaming news), Pandora (great music), Remote (from Apple, which allows me to remotely control iTunes), 1Password (free password manager)

I don't remember who told that skype for iphone couldn't make call's to non-mobile lines using skype out. Here's my experience:
The day that I heard on the news that skype was launching it's app I've downloaded it and tested in a lot of ways. I have an monthly skype account here in Brazil, called Brazil400 (which means I have 400 minutes for non mobile calls) and I use it a lot to talk to my family 1000kms from here. So, It worked very well via wi-fi, no problem at all, also on chat, voice calls and skype-to-skype to my friend in Australia. All very nice and clean.
The only thing it didn't work and I received a message on the iphone screen was that it was unabled to do voice calls over 3G because of telephony company restrictons.

Congratulations and Great job, guys!
