CES: LG unveils Bluetooth-compatible LSB316 sound bar
LG has announced preliminary details of a new sound bar, the LSB316, which includes a wireless subwoofer and the capability to stream audio from Bluetooth-compatible devices.

(Credit: LG)CES 2011 is less than a month away, but LG is getting a jump on the big show with its CES Sneak Peek announcements in New York City. In addition to a snazzy "Nano" TV, the company has taken the wraps off the new LSB316 sound bar. Its distinguishing feature is the capability to stream audio from Bluetooth-capable devices (which includes nearly any smartphone, iPhone, iPad, and newer iPod Touch models). Here are the key details LG announced today:

- 2.1 channels
- 280-watt output
- Slim design, capable of wall-mounting
- Designed to fit under a 42-inch HDTV
- Wireless subwoofer
- Bluetooth capable, for streaming audio from compatible phones/digital audio players
- Can also transmit audio to compatible Bluetooth headphones
- Two optical audio inputs
- One minijack input
- USB port for MP3/WMA playback
That's the extent of details released so far, with both pricing in available still unknown. LG is promising more details at CES 2011 and we'll keep you updated.
