On Tuesday, AT&T announced the upcoming availability of three new Android handsets from Motorola--the Motorola Bravo, Flipout, and Flipside--pretty much doubling its Android offering in one fell swoop.
Ranging in price from $79.99 to $129.99, the trio will ship running Android 2.1 with Motoblur and feature Wi-Fi. However, each one offers a distinct design and caters to a slightly different audience.
Motorola Bravo: With features like an 800MHz processor, DLNA support, and a 3-megapixel camera, the Bravo is the higher-end device of the bunch. It sports a 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touch screen with multitouch capabilities and a full HTML browser with Flash Lite support. The Bravo is expected to ship for the holiday season and will cost $129.99 with a two-year contract.
Motorola Flipside: The Flipside has a touch screen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard, so you can have the best of both worlds. The smartphone offers Exchange support with push delivery and corporate directory lookup, as well as Moto's CrystalTalk Plus technology for better call quality. The Flipside will also ship during the holidays for $99.99 with a two-year service agreement.
Motorola Flipout: Already available in Europe, the Flipout has a unique design with its square shape and swivel touch screen/QWERTY keyboard combo. There are also two different color battery covers--dark sapphire and saffron--included in the box, so you can sass up the smartphone. The Flipout will be available starting October 17 for $79.99.
