Sprint and Samsung prepping Moment 2 already?
The Android-based Moment is only a few months old, however Sprint and Samsung appear nearly finished with its successor. An Android blog has posted what appear to be the first pictures of the Moment 2, as well as a few details.
After taking the CTIA's Best in Show award at the association's trade show last month (CNET picked our own winners from the event), the five month-old Samsung Moment is getting a brief moment in the spotlight. Though Android 2.1, which is due any day, could be what finally turns this good phone into a great one, it may matter little if the follow-up device is actually on its way.
On Tuesday, a blog by the name of WeRAndroid became the first to post a picture of the alleged Moment 2, aka the Samsung SPH-M910. Though it closely resembles the existing phone, the Moment 2 features a slightly redesigned keyboard.
The full list of specs have yet to come to light, but WeRAndroid promises more details in the future. According to the blog, the phone has Android 2.1 with the new TouchWiz 3.0 interface loaded on top. As you may already know, this is the same user experience found in the new Galaxy S, which was that Sammy announced at CTIA. With the design not moving things forward a great deal, feature changes such as the processor speeds, memory, and camera could be the Moment 2's biggest selling points.
