As host of the Buzz Report video series, Molly provides a fresh and funny perspective on the latest consumer electronic products to hit the market, as well as commentary on the stories and development that she thinks are truly buzz-worthy. She is also co-host of Buzz Out Loud, CNET's "podcast of indeterminate length," which entertains listeners with a funny and skeptical take on the day's technology news. Her other podcast, Gadgettes, is proof that girls can be geeks too.

Tom Merritt appears on
CNET TV, specializing in help and how-to and the ever popular Top 5
lists. He also co-hosts CNET's The Real Deal podcast.
Jason Howell can
often be found producing Buzz Out Loud from the audio studios at CNET,
updating XML feeds from the comfort of his cubicle, and saying "uh-oh"
from time to time.

I didn't realize you guys have only been on since 2005.. I only figured that out when you mentioned Alex has been listening since before the shows were numbered. I have listened to every single show since back in the days of my original iPod 1st gen with the scroll wheel! Since then I've sold and purchased other iPods.. silver mini 4GB, Product Red Nano 4GB, iPhone 8 GB (Current). Sorry I never write or phone in.. It's not that I don't love you, I DO!! Very much indeed! I miss Veronica and enjoy the new addition, Jason! You are my number one source for tech news, and news in general.
Hope you all find nice presents in your stockings and enjoy the time off with you families.
Happy Holidays and happy new year!

I recently purchased a squatty nano and rediscovered CNET and all of the myriad of new shows that are here through RSS. I've been listening to all of the back BOL shows to 'catch up'. CNET Live is more like what CNET Radio was then (with Brian Cooley), except in video format. As far as I recall, there wasn't a show like BOL when CNET Radio was on the air. Although, if there had been a show like it, I'm sure I would have listened.
I really found it convenient to listen to the latest tech news and gadgets on CNET when it was broadcast and was disappointed when it went off of the air. However, I did like that CNET was forward thinking enough to try the MP3 thing (which was new a the time). As I said, for me it was a bit of chore to get the MP3s to my device.
BOL Crew, thanks for the show. It's just as enjoyable a listen as back when it was CNET Radio.

Molly, you are just right about Palm Centro - it's an acknowlegment that MotoRAZR form factor (53 mm wide) is a standard for cell phones. The task now is to make it a computer. Take a look at my project:
Cell Computer Project
Keep up your good work.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

- Excuse me, but can we stop citing Madonna as a beacon of independence for leaving the old labels?

(6 Comments)She signed with Live Nation: the spawn of Satan.
Whether you follow the inner poltics of Clearchannel or not, its offspring LiveNation is a HUGE player and extends the ClearChannel empire across the planet.
She's not leaving for some Soho indie label.
She signed for $120 effing million. Whose sole talent is to stay in the public spotlight (I dare you to defend her acting) for over three decades.
Stop making her to be some martyr for our continued fight against the big labels and the RIAA mayhem. (and a pox on the democrats for the DMCA)
The Clearchannel/Live Nation beast has carved its way through most of europe. You cant play almost any major scene in europe that isnt controlled by them in major and midsized european cities. Booking, halls, stadiums, advertizing, talent agency, promotion, etc,, etc..
If Molly was to leave tomorrow and sign on to Microsoft for 120 million.
As head of PR. In charge of Vista.
Would you go..."Hoo yeah Molly,...wait to stick it to the man?"
Madonna signed with the Microsoft of the music industry, I fail to see how her shunning failing labels in return of guaranteed millions is treated as anything more than business news. Apart from les gais, does any demographic really care about Madonna anymore? Isnt she like Liberace right now in her career phase? Geez, what next? Milton Berle marries from beyond the grave?
Btw, the call in shows ruled.
Everyone made sense and was enjoyable.
Definitely should be a regular feature.
Maybe seasonal.
Merry Xmas Futurama lovers!!
