Hello Buzz Crew,
My name is Brent from Iowa and my wife and I have been trying to determine which tablet to buy. She wants to be able to watch Netflix and Hulu and I want to be able to check email and surf the web. The iPad isn’t exactly an impulse buy and seems a little overkill for what we’re looking for, so I’ve been keeping an eye on the Kindle Fire and the Nook tablet. We both have iPhones for our music so we’re not really too worried about the hard drive space. The major difference between the two so far in my eyes is the streaming capability. Amazon hasn’t unveiled what will be available for streaming besides what they offer alongside their Amazon prime membership. The Nook on the other hand has already announced Netflix and Hulu compatibility. I really like Amazon as a company so I want to like the Fire, especially for $50 cheaper, but if it can’t compete against the Nook in regards to Netflix and Hulu playback then I think they’ve made my decision for me.
What’s your opinion on the topic? Thanks!
Brent L. Garrow II
OK, so I just realized why your show can be amazingly awesome and amazingly aggravating at the same time. I’ve been hoping for something like the Jawbone UP for a while now, and now that I hear it from your show first that this product exists, I immediately stormed my way to their website anxiously anticipating to purchase one. One minor problem. The da[RN]mn thing is only operable with iOS devices! Uh…WTF? I mean I get it, iOS has a “majority” of the market, but I don’t see how you can launch a product without any USB or alternative device support immediately, oh, wait Nike+ [insert FAIL].
Sorry, this wasn’t supposed to be a rant, but a question. Since you guys are so AMAZING and have connections that rival the CIA and NSA, is there anything you’ve heard about Jawbone providing Android support or any other device support soon? And moreover, I can’t seem to find any other products like this on the market with the exception of FitBit which is not water-resistant (let alone sweat-resistant).
I absolutely LOVE the show!
Why do I even download your podcast anymore?
I wait a whole week, and all you do is crap on Google and praise Apple.
If Apple was always in the cutting edge of technology, I would sort of understand. But is the same freaking crap all the time: Iphone and Ipad.
The Iphone doesn’t even have multi-tasking for fox sake.
Anyway. Would you please be objective and not be such Apple cheerleaders all the time.
