Tong stood in line all night for Mortal Kombat, while Molly went to bed with her laptop and her brand new Keynote download. Impressive, right? In the actual news, Apple files a major set of patent and trademark lawsuits against manufacturing partner Samsung, Netflix is doing family plans, and what happened to all those 1-800 numbers. Dial carefully children. Dial carefully.

Hey Buzz Crew, “holla!”
Just thought I would send a note saying how amazing social media is these days. Being here in central North Carolina and growing up in Sanford, North Carolina, this weekend’s tornadoes proved to me how far social media has come in such a short time. With relatives in the St.
Andrews community hard hit by the storms, we were able to help Facebook friends find missing relatives on the day of the storms. So a Facebook connection plus a charged cell phone equals relief. Japan was great to see but experiencing similar activity here was great!
Love the show!

In the morning Buzzards,
You seem to be awful hard on Chrome OS. Imagine this though: If they can make a Chrome OS netbook for under $250, how much cheaper would it be if you removed the screen, keyboard, and battery? $150? $99? So long as it has HDMI out you now suddenly have an awesome Google TV. I think that Chrome OS is going to be the new Google TV. A real-real browser with Flash integrated, plus all the games and webapps available in the Chrome Web Store. Bonus: any Android device could work as a remote with the Google TV app. I know, mind blown.

Hey buzz crew,
I was listening to episode 1450, and I agree with Molly and I think that if Apple starts making TV’s it would get kinda weird. I mean what would happen if they started making household appliances? Can you imaging the iFridge? The worlds thinnest fridge?!?! I sure can’t. I think that Apple should stick to what their good at. (But if Steve says it’s magical, I’ll totally buy one)
Sent from my brand spanking new iPad 2!!!
Hey Buzz Crew,
In episode 1450 you mentioned about the secure online identity-system that the President called for – with uber praise, as if it was the best thing since sliced bread! Really? I would have expected Molly to mention privacy concerns regarding such a leap. I see this as a tool that can be used to track individuals, electronic money transfers, purchases and possibly web usage.
I don’t think that all sides were considered in the broadcast and I wanted to let you know how it freaked me out a little. I see the upside to this possibly standard but the implications could be devastating to net privacy.
P.S.- Molly: I’ve been blocking the chatter to the servers outside of Pandora services on my iPhone with a firewall app of course, I’m jailbroken.
Love the show!
