Molly,
In previous shows you talked about how all of the wires from wall mounted TVs and home theater components would negate the benefit of wall-mounting them. Check out this Switched.com article about flat HDMI cables that you can put on the wall and paint over. I think flat paintable speaker cables have been around for a decade or so. Now all we need are flat power cables that can carry more than 1kW of power and we’ll be set.

Like the show,
Automotive Entertainment and Information Application and Integration Engineer Joe.

Hey Guys-
My friend, who livecasts his life, but does NOT torrent/etc is
getting shut off by Comcast, and has no other way to get Internet
other than 1.5/256 att DSL. Comcast is effectively disconnecting him
from the net…
So it WILL hurt people who don’t just torrent…

to my dearest buzz crew,
HOLLARRRRRRR!
As i was strolling the interwebz i came across this little article via ap. It basically states you live on an island and blog each week about your experiences. i thought to myself as i sip my coffee & baileys out of my cnet mug “hot damn this is the job for me”, but i quickly realized who really wants to sit back on the white sands in the warm sun sipping your fruity cocktail right outside of your own private villia blogging away? yep i do too!

Cordially,

p.s. get those applications in before the deadline feb 22
As host of the Buzz Report video series, Molly provides a fresh and funny perspective on the latest consumer electronic products to hit the market, as well as commentary on the stories and development that she thinks are truly buzz-worthy. She is also co-host of Buzz Out Loud, CNET's "podcast of indeterminate length," which entertains listeners with a funny and skeptical take on the day's technology news. Her other podcast, Gadgettes, is proof that girls can be geeks too.

Tom Merritt appears on
CNET TV, specializing in help and how-to and the ever popular Top 5
lists. He also co-hosts CNET's The Real Deal podcast.
Jason Howell can
often be found producing Buzz Out Loud from the audio studios at CNET,
updating XML feeds from the comfort of his cubicle, and saying "uh-oh"
from time to time.

Although adding Natalie should be fun, and I did get over V leaving after a little while. I'll make due with Mad Molly Mondays, Gadgettes, AND I'll have to start watching the Buzz Report again. That'll do it, I'll get by.
Thanks for the hundreds and hundreds of awesome episodes Molly!
BTW Jason and Tom you guys are awesome so no knock on you.
JJ
Hoping it is almost finished. I had under 300 songs, (because podcasts are the bulk of my stuff). I can't imagine what it would be for someone with a huge library.
Merry
PS really going to miss Molly.
This is tragic. What could possibly be worth leaving BOL for? Hmph. I'm a little cross-armedly grumpy about this.

RIP BOL as I knew ya. you will be missed
To Brian, I wish I could have been in the chat because I wanted to ask if the Brilliance cars are still made of tin-foil, because just one year ago they had the worst crash-test vids I have ever seen ..
Lastly, I wanted to say I fully agree with "Windows Ribbon" hate... It's not just about change of work habits, it is about the schitzo changing of the work environment.
We had to step up to Office 2007 two months ago, and now it takes me 3-times as long to do anything...When you couple that with the forced "hand-holding", widgets, and the like, the whole experience becomes infuriating. Plus it is my job to as IT manager to help staff, so it's even more trying when staff need my help and have inadvertently customized their UI, causing the instructions I would relay to be useless and force me to make personal visits for what should be the simplest of help!
Nothing like having to travel 2 city blocks 4 times (when I have my own deadlines) to help a big wig get his presentation running (after spending a week training, fine tuning, and pre-planning for the presentation) because the PC he was to use ( a last minute swap) had been woefully screwed up by the previous user, that I couldn't quickly talk anyone through the commands to make Powerpoint do what they need over the phone.
I liken it to walking into say...the kitchen and with every knob or handle you touch, parts of the kitchen reconfigures itself constantly, so when you reach into the fridge, every RFID item reconfigures the kitchen: touch the liquids and suddenly you dish rack presents you with bowls and cups, then you move the cheese over to get something behind it, and the cups are replaced by plates and saucers, and so on.... ARRRRRGGH!!
You might entertain killing yourself if your world functioned that way, especially if it can't be easily deactivated.. Windows 7 it going be "interesting" (read: annoying as hell) if I have to take time with every program to make a custoom ribbon to keep the frequently used features from moving all over the damned place.
While she may be attractive to some and considered knowledgeable by others, her sibilant delivery is deeply aggravating to the point of being unlistenable by all.
It's not an attack, merely a sad yet irrefutable observation, but there may be an easy solution...
With a tenured audio engineer's close attention and some small hardware changes, it is likely that her SSSSSSSSS's can be attenuated. If not, then some post-production work really seems in order.
I love BOL, and will dearly miss Molly. While I understand the business involves change, the idea of putting an unaltered Natali full-time in an AUDIO podcassssssssssssssssst is an abomination.

(17 Comments)The show will not be the same without Molly as an everyday contributor, Natali will not be able to measure up. I think Natali is attractive, but I don't find her that insightful and I find myself disagreeing with her on many issues.
