Thought you might enjoy this. I found it in the The Washington Post, but it was a Los Angeles Times article. Warner Music doesn’t make enough money off of Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Found this in my morning feeds and thought I would pass it along:
What is OpenClip?
OpenClip is a non-profit, open-source, community-effort project, which promotes a framework for the
iPhone that allows users to copy / paste between participating applications.

Molly, Tom & Jason,
I am an avid listener of your awesome podcast. Something I particularly enjoy are the now legendary “Molly Rants”, from which I have derived countless hours of enjoyment over the last couple of years. As a sign of appreciation, I decided to pay tribute to the “Molly Rant” by writing a theme song for it. Feel free to use the Molly Rant Theme Song in any future podcast.
Keep up the good work; you guys rock! And Molly, I look forward to many, many more rants to come!
Alex (yes, the same Alex that wrote the Linux Chaser theme song)
P.S.: I have attached two versions of the theme song; the first one is more upbeat and longer than the second. And in case you wonder, yes, the second version has a shout-out to Wall-E at the end.
Hi BOL,
I can’t believe Molly Wood bought an iPhone. Seriously, should we be hiding under our desks?
This is the scene that went through my mind.
Thanks for the iPhone envy and curse you Sprint and your contracts!

Hey Buzz Crew. Every time you talk about web-only content and can it be successful or which one was first I cringe that you never mention “Sanctuary for All”. This was an 8 episode series sold, yes sold, only on the web. It starred several Stargate SG1 and Atlantis cast members and also had directors and producers from Stargate. It was so successful that the Sci-Fi Network has picked it up and it will begin airing this fall. Does that count for making video on the Web profitable/successful?

Why are you guys so paranoid about targeted advertising.
Anything anonymous is fine with me. Imagine if you would that your TiVo could see your Internet cookies. Would you rather see an ad for the latest Rob Schneider movie, or better yet, based on your recent web activity, it suspects you are planning on taking a cruise and you get ads from cruise companies.
What is wrong with that? I win, they win. I might not skip through all the ads.
BOL listeners would probably get tons of tech ads, soccer moms would get ads for Mini Vans.
You make fun of paranoid people but hey pot, your black.

As host of the Buzz Report video series, Molly provides a fresh and funny perspective on the latest consumer electronic products to hit the market, as well as commentary on the stories and development that she thinks are truly buzz-worthy. She is also co-host of Buzz Out Loud, CNET's "podcast of indeterminate length," which entertains listeners with a funny and skeptical take on the day's technology news. Her other podcast, Gadgettes, is proof that girls can be geeks too.

Tom Merritt appears on
CNET TV, specializing in help and how-to and the ever popular Top 5
lists. He also co-hosts CNET's The Real Deal podcast.
Jason Howell can
often be found producing Buzz Out Loud from the audio studios at CNET,
updating XML feeds from the comfort of his cubicle, and saying "uh-oh"
from time to time.

You are so wrong about not worrying about the alleged Chinese cheating at women's gymnastics. The point isn't whether they were that good or not, the point is that other nations weren't allowed to send their underage gymnasts to compete. The rules need to be the same for all countries.
OK first Odin's Beard... really??? Anyhow, yes Vista can support two or even three anti-virus applications running at the same time. I currently have two on this machine and no Blue Screen. In fact I haven't had a Blue Screen on either of my vista machines.
Just thought you'd like to know that.

IOC slipped on this, they need to penalize themselves and China the host, but leave the girl with gold. If they are mart, they learn something from this and change their policy on checking identity and age.

- Linux has never had market penetration because there never had pre-installed machines (you cant get any share by installing your mom's OS) so finally the ASUS EEE broke that last fall and since then dozen of manufacturers have come out with pre-installed Linux on netbooks which you have to admit is really handy for Molly since she gets to avoid talking about Linux and netbooks all in one shot.

(10 Comments)Very convenient. The netbook market is expanding but will not replace anything. It is a secondary machine that has done very well on a few continents and I wonder how many years of doubling sales it will take Molly to finally stop avoiding the netbooks fad.
Or Linux.
In the tech media WHICH LIVES on fads and social/sitess that people fall out of love after not years but months of use, I'd think a hot fad would get covered a lot. Look back at all the fads youve covered (good or bad) and see how many you've managed to avoid totally.
It takes a big pair to diss fads in your field of work.
