EA to bring 'Mass Effect' to PS3?
One of the biggest titles to hit the Xbox 360, Mass Effect, may see its sequels on the PlayStation 3. With Electronic Art's purchase of BioWare, the developer of Mass Effect, and EA's history of not limiting itself to one platform, it's kind of a no-brainer. Especially once you throw in a poor economy where every sale counts.
According to the Web site OnAxis, Michael Pachter, Managing Director of Entertainment Software and Retail Research at Wedbush Morgan Securities, said he believes that Mass Effect will not remain an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Speaking with a panel of others on Gametrailer's show Bonus Round, Pachter commented, "Trust me, Electronic Arts, when they threw out the number 300 million...that is multiplatform, that is not 360 only." And when asked if Mass Effect 2 will come to the PS3, he said, "It has to, has to. And you know, I wouldn't be shocked if Mass Effect 1 came to PS3."
An EA rep responded saying, "The rumor regarding Mass Effect being developed for PS3 is inaccurate," which isn't exactly a denial.

Although I appreciate your rabid enthusiasm of Sony's console, I must say that you are completely wrong. Have you forgotten that Final Fantasy 13 is going to be multiplatform, along with Resident Evil 5? Both were Sony exclusives (I understand that RE4 was on the Gamecube, but in this case 'exclusive' means 'was not available on Microsoft's console(s)).
Also, since you are a rabid Sony fanboy, I believe that you haven't played Halo long enough (or at all) to have any kind of relevant opinion. As for your 'Bungie has no true new ideas', I would like to remind you that Bungie was the one that single-handedly made console 1st person shooters playable. Before then, we had RE4 and tank controls.
Once again, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but please don't blatantly lie in your posts; do research first.
PS That goes for you as well, cmpbllman9

- What would be the point. Mass Effect has been out for ages on both the Xbox360 and PC. PS3 is like the Mac of gaming... Celebrating games that have been out for ages on the competing platforms.

(5 Comments)Mass Effect is a great game though :)
@ niko_osokin You kinda confirmed what CrazySpyd3r said. Yes Halo was the first good console FPS, however that was 3 years ago and like he said, no new ideas since then.
@ Inconux The same excitement was shown when the 360 got the PS2 exclusives. As of yet, the 360 has not received any of the PS3 exclusives, ie. Uncharted, LBP or MGS4. Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry and Tekken were all PS2 exclusives, and that was only because it had tthe only "successful" install base back then. Now we have 3 systems with legitmate install bases, so we won't see to many more 3rd party exclusives only 1st party. As far as 1st party goes, Sony and Nintendo have plenty of developers, but Microsoft is lacking there, that's why they're forced to pay big for exclusive or timed DLC..
