Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash

AT&T's newest Windows Phone Mango devices go on sale this Sunday, and the Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash are looking to be nice improvements over its predecessor.

Building on last year's Samsung Focus, the Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash feature a faster 1.4GHz processor, Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, and support for AT&T's HSPA+ network.

Of the two, the $199.99 Focus S is the higher-end handset, offering a larger and sharper 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, an 8-megapixel camera, and front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera. Meanwhile, the Focus Flash goes the budget-friendly route with an affordable price tag of $49.99 on contract and comes with a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED touch screen and 5-megapixel camera.

So should you go out this weekend and get one? Well, they're facing some tough competition, as AT&T's first 4G LTE smartphones and a couple of BlackBerrys also go on sale November 6.

Well, CNET's Jessica Dolcourt checked out the Samsung Focus Flash and found that the Windows Phone device gives you a lot more for the price than you'd think. You can check out her full review here. CNET's Maggie Reardon and Bridget Carey, along with our photographer Sarah Tew and videographer Richard Peterson, also got to spend some time with Focus S this week, so be sure to check out our First Look video and photo gallery for more.
