Wait, I noticed Kent said something about entering URLs in the Magic/Ion. He said that you need to press Menu and do the whole Go To thing. Having a G1 myself, I'm pretty sure that you can just press that button with the magnifying glass on it next to the Home button.

Usually that goes to search, but with the cupcake update that all Magic/Ion have, that search button now brings up a combined search/url entry bar. After that you can just type the url (all the while it will give you a list of sites you've been to) and press enter. That's the way it works on my G1 with cupcake, and I've read that it was how it works from other Magic reviews.
