Christopher Soghoian is student fellow at Harvard University's Berkman Center for Internet and Society, and is a PhD candidate at Indiana University's School of Informatics. He is also a visiting researcher at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).

In the past, he has worked or interned for the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California, as well as Google, Apple, NTT DoCoMo and IBM Research.

He is currently the recipient of a 2008/2009 fellowship from the Institute for Humane Studies, and in 2006 and 2007, he received a graduate scholarship funded for by Google.
