Steve,
Are you associated with terestrial radio? Remember, if subscribers don't like the programming they can cancel anytime. Why was the merger such a big deal? Why did it take so long?
Obviously there were alot of worried radio station owners concerned and in the pockets of the FCC.
Just like any business, sometime cuts are a nessesity (sorry about my spelling)
Can you honestly say that listening to "free radio" is better? No way!
Also, if it wasn't for Stern, the subscribers would not have flocked to Sirius when he announced he was leaving radio.
I know I would not have subscribed.
I am a 48 year old college graduate, married and father of 4 children.

Thanks!

Here is a situation that affects many people in my age group (70), When we have apartner who still has good hearing turning up the TV sound, so we can hear, is not the best way to keep them. Hearind aids get uncomfortable (think Bee in ear) as do ear muffs. My solution was to get amplfied PC speakers plugged into the TV and modified to hang on my chair either side of my ears. However I had to try 8 differant models before I got good reproduction and few pensioners would be able to do that and set then up. So, with you connections, is it possibel to get a manufacterer interested? I've tried 3 with no responce.

About The Audiophiliac

Ex movie theater projectionist Steve Guttenberg has more or less successfully hitched his future to home theater, but he still pines for the clickity-clack of 35 MM projectors and all the stale popcorn he could eat. Between projectionist gigs he worked as a high-end audio salesman for sixteen years, and produced records for an audiophile label. Oh, and one more thing, nothing annoys Steve more than being confused with the other Steve Guttenberg, the washed-up Police Academy actor. The wordsmith Guttenberg is a frequent contributor to a number of magazines and websites including Home Entertainment, Playback, and Ultimate AV. He is a member of the CNET Blog Network and is not an employee of CNET. Disclosure.
