Electrolux ReSource looks forward
Electrolux Design Lab is a design competition that promotes innovative thinking. In its ReSource exhibition, nine concept appliances are imagined.

This year, in the run-up to the last call for entries on May 1, they have challenged students at the Domus Academy in Milan to provide presentations for a separate exhibition titled Electrolux ReSource. In Electrolux's words:
The ReSource concepts include sustainable thinking and cultural reference points - both of which are increasingly important issues for product design as our planet's resources disappear and our changing habits and lifestyles are fed by multi-cultural influences in our quest for novelty.
In execution, the entries promote sustainability while also highlighting an efficient use of space. Several examples stand out:
The KEWA (Kinetic Efficient Water Appliance) by Pietro Russomanno is a concept device designed to rapidly clean dishes by using a "water-blade" that is created from mixing water with pressurized air.

Chefiamo by Jervis Chua is a virtual cookbook that projects a holographic representation of a friend or relative guiding you through the cooking process. An interactive glove completes the concept and could be used to weigh and measure items.
