The Cuisipro Herb Keeper

When you bring home fresh herbs, such as mint or basil, you have a limited window of opportunity to use them. If you wait too long, all you'll have is a wilted mess. The Cuisipro Herb Keeper will extend the life of your herbs. Your herbs sit upright in a slotted tray that keeps their stems immersed in water, to keep them from drying out, not unlike fresh-cut flowers that sit upright in a vase full of water. Herbs stored this way will keep both their texture and their flavor for much longer than those herbs simply set inside the fridge. You can also use the Cuisipro Herb Keeper for asparagus, as well as all kinds of herbs.

The Cuisipro Herb Keeper is sized to fit neatly inside your refrigerator door, without taking up important shelf space. It measures approximately 9.5 inches by 5 inches. It's designed to minimize spills, with a handle to lift herbs out of the water when you're ready to use them. The clear design lets you see at a glance which herbs you have and how fresh they are. It is generally a good idea to clean the herb keeper between uses. Cuisipro recommends washing it by hand. The Cuisipro Herb Keeper is priced at $19.99.

Or you could pour some water into a glass, stick the herbs in that, and save $19.99 + tax. Put it on the kitchen counter or table rather than in the fridge.

Agreed - why would you pay for this crap? Wow, who would've thought water would be helpful for keeping a plant alive! This is truly new science.

Alternatively, you could just buy a small pot with soil and a seedling (or established herb) and line them up on your windowsill. Each pot is only about $5 and comes with the herb! Never need to clean them, just give them some water every now and then. And get this - the herb lasts years!! Could you ever imagine this stupid fridge gizmo keeping your herb for years? This is not only more economical but better for the environment and helps freshen up your kitchen.
