How many %^#$*^$&^ times are we going to hear this nonsense about Macs not having viruses because of small market share? Mac OS 8 and OS 9 had FAR smaller market shares than OS X, and they not only had viruses, but had enough that Apple used to include antivirus software standard with its machines. Do you seriously think that a 2-3% market share was enough to attract many virus writers adn a 9% market share isn't?

There are specific technical reasons why OS X, or Linux, or Vista with UAC turned on, are orders of magnitude more secure than XP, or Vista with UAC turned off, and they have nothing to do with market share. If XP had the 9-10% market share that OS X has, it would still have 90% of the viruses.

Tom predicted 2009 will bring us our first Internet-only/Internet-primary hit. I don't know if this really qualifies according to Tom's pretty narrow parameters, but "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" has become a pretty big hit and ranked as Entertainment Weekly's #1 "Best TV on DVD" for 2008.

Tom mentioned Audible getting into the ebook business. Audible is owned by Amazon, which puts out the Kindle.
