UNO goes free in the Android Market

UNO, one of the most popular paid card game apps for Android, is now available for free download.

Previously only available in its $2.99 paid download form, the new ad-supported UNO Free still offers the same nostalgia-inducing gaming experience.

For those who have never played UNO (or have never experienced childhood), it's a classic color and number-matching card game for up to four players. And with its Android incarnation it can be played via Wi-Fi with friends, or against computerized opponents. iPhone game sale part 2: Gameloft titles for 99 cents

I love a good price war! Earlier this week, Barnes & Noble took on Amazon, slashing its Nook e-book reader to $199 and prompting Amazon to cut the Kindle to $189.

Tuesday, Electronic Arts launched a 48-hour app sale (ending Wednesday night) that dropped 14 of its most popular iPhone/iPod games to 99 cents each.

Not to be outdone, developer Gameloft just fired back with a 99-cent sale on seven of its top titles--all of which usually sell for $4.99. Here's the list:

Old MacDonald's waffle iron

This morning I was hungry for waffles. Not pancakes, but waffles. Sometimes I keep a box of Eggos in the freezer, but those aren't really waffle-waffles. Eggos, at least to my taste buds, are more of a buttery blueberry cookie than they are a waffle, so popping a couple of those in the toaster ain't gonna do the trick. The craving is for waffles and waffles only. Unfortunately, I only have a cheap waffle iron that produces less than stellar results. It is in this frame of mind that I go window-shopping for waffle irons.
