Telly for iOS udpates to 2.0, adds Vine-like capability

Telly, the popular video-sharing platform that was once known as Twitvid, has today released a major update to its iOS app. Jumping to version 2.0, Telly for iOS now makes it significantly easier to watch content, share with friends, and even add a bit of polish to videos before sharing.

Twitter video-sharing service nabs $6.5 million

Twitvid, a popular video-sharing service on Twitter, is announcing today $6.5 million in a second funding round led by Azure Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Plans for the new funds include expanding the team, growing usage opportunities, and scaling the infrastructure.

Since launching in 2009, Twitvid has seen its service grow to 12 million monthly unique users, and more than 30 million unique video views per month. TwitVid, a free video host for Twitter, is launching two new, useful features on Monday. The first is a real-time search engine that will let users sort through videos both on TwitVid and YouTube.
