Opening eBay bid for a Twinkie? $8,000

Your stomach has probably not stopped turning since learning that Hostess, the company that makes Twinkies, has announced it's shuttering its plants and seeks to liquidate the 82-year-old business.

It will soon be the Hostess with the leastest.

This has not stopped those who have learned from companies that are the banes of our lives to turn that frown upside down.

So it was unsurprising to hear the Atlantic reporting that the starting bid for single Twinkie was $5,000.

I couldn't believe that someone would ask for so little in return for so much. This was history for sale.
