Mmmm...cell phones

Samsung grabs a piece of the donut, so to speak, with its sponsorship of the Simpsons movie that's set to debut later this year. The company has taken three of its phones and styled them in Simpsons yellow while adding the movie's logo to the front flap.

The Samsung Sync (SGH-a707), the SPH-c417, and the SPH-m610 were chosen as Simpsons special edition phones, and we can only hope that "D'oh!" is available as a ring tone. Stay tuned for availability.

After telling you about Cingular Music two weeks ago, I was very excited to try it out. So when the new Samsung Sync (a.k.a. the SGH-A707) showed up in my mailbox, I jumped at the chance to give the service a thorough shakedown. Samsung's second try with Cingular

Samsung is taking the offensive in the battle for Cingular 3G supremacy with its new SGH-A707. Announced today in Korea and destined for America's wireless carrier, the A707 offers support for Cingular's HSDPA network, a 2-megapixel camera, a digital music player, and stereo Bluetooth. From what we can tell, it looks like Samsung is hoping to make a more respectable showing on the 3G front than it did with its recent Samsung SGH-ZX20.
