Perhaps that will be the tune Samsung SCH-i760 owners will be singing today as Samsung released an official Windows Mobile 6.1 software upgrade for the Verizon Wireless smartphone. The software update is available for download through Samsung's Web site and has installers for both Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista users.

We were a little concerned when we didn't see the Samsung SCH-i760 at CTIA this year, but looks like this smart phone will see the light of day. According to Boy Genius Report, the Samsung i760 has been given the FCC stamp of approval, clearing the way for a U.S. release on either Verizon Wireless' or Sprint's network. Yesterday, CNET TV's Molly Wood gave you a first look of the Samsung SCH-i760 smart phone, and as you'll see from the video, Samsung didn't give too many details about the device.
