It's got a mini Taj Mahal and just about every other icon from Asia, all made out of millions of plastic bricks.

Legoland Malaysia opened to a crowd of 10,000 over the weekend with dozens of rides and iconic 1:20-scale buildings fashioned from plastic.

The Lego paradise was built on 76 acres of former palm tree hills in southern Malaysia across the Straits of Johor from Singapore. It's expected to draw visitors from the city-state and other countries.

Similar to the already-running Legoland hotel in Windsor, U.K., the entire façade and interior of the hotel features Lego elements from head to toe. It's a match made in heaven: "Star Wars" and Lego. And on March 29, visitors to Legoland California will have a chance to check out a whole new area filled with nothing but large-scale Lego models featuring things like Jawa sandcrawlers, R2-D2, Darth Vader, and more.

All told, the models will use more than 2 million Lego bricks and will include models from each of the six "Star Wars" movies.

Each model is 3 feet tall and uses at least 10,000 bricks, according to Lego.

This is definitely not your average Ford Explorer rolling down the lines at the Chicago Assembly Plant. The bright red, full-size re-creation is made of 380,000 Lego bricks.

Ford today announced the unveiling of the Lego Explorer; a lifelike replica that took 2,500 hours (about three and a half months) to create.

The Legoland Florida-edition Explorer debuted in Chicago, but will soon be headed to the new 150-acre Legoland Florida theme park just outside Orlando.
