Nintendo has stated, firmly and more than once, that it won't be bringing its proprietary titles to mobile formats. If The Legend of Zelda were to come to mobile, though, we don't think it could do a better job than the newly released Oceanhorn.
There are fan films by the hundreds out there, but our favorites are those that do something different -- that show a new side to our favorite characters and worlds, that tell new stories (without, preferably, trampling on the canon too hard while they do so).
A group of Australian fans teamed up a couple of years ago to make "Hylian Heroics," a short film made partially so creator Ken Abbott could muck about with some blood effects and partially because who wouldn't want to dress up like a Hylian and swing some weapons around?
Now the second video in the series has been released, made by Abbott and his troupe of acrobatic martial artist/circus performer friends, and it's sort of amazing. … Read more
It's been just over two years since Steve Jobs died, and it's probably not surprising that there's more than one action figure of the Apple icon.
Japan's Legend Toys has released its latest ultra-realistic 12-inch figure of Jobs, but this one is the young brash executive from the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Fruits Legend is an addictive, fast-paced fruit matching game that promises to entertain for hours. It features bright colors, good sound effects, and constant action. The game is free, so it does come with ads, but they're subtly placed at the bottom of the screen and the pop-ups during the game are minimal.
Fruits Legend downloads quickly and you can start playing immediately after the installation. The game board resembles most matching games and consists of a large grid packed with colorful images. You can match fruit by swiping the icons vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. The more fruits you … Read more
Keith Knight doesn't use his hands to defeat other players in video games such as League of Legends. Knight, who has muscular dystrophy, instead uses his cheek to control a mouse, his leg to press external switches mapped to game commands, and a pen in his mouth to type on a keyboard.
A documentary released this week shows what real life is like for the 27-year-old disabled gamer -- better known online as "Aieron" -- who resides in an assisted living community in British Columbia, Canada. Hackers have breached the system of one of the world's most popular online video games: League of Legends.
Riot Games, which developed League of Legends, announced Tuesday that some usernames, e-mail addresses, salted password hashes, first and last names, and even some salted credit card numbers have been accessed. The salted data is somewhat protected, but if users have easily guessable passwords, their information could be susceptible to theft, Riot Games warned.
The affected users are only those who live in North America. While the accessed credit card information is alarming, it pertains only to records from 2011 and … Read more
