Nokia has apparently set its sights on the iPod Shuffle, but when this alternative might hit store shelves is unknown.
EvLeaks, a Twitter account that has leaked Nokia devices images and details in the past with a high rate of accuracy, published a picture of what it claims is the upcoming Nokia Guru. The alleged device, which has been compared in previous rumors to the iPod Shuffle, comes without a display and appears to have a belt clip, similar to Apple's device. Its blue color in the image suggests Nokia will announce color options.

TripAdivsor has acquired a small mobile startup in the travel industry.
The travel company announced on Wednesday that it has acquired GateGuru, a mobile platform that provides a wide range of information for travelers, including details on itineraries, airports, and rental cars.
In a statement, TripAdvisor said that GateGuru will complement its other popular application, SeatGuru, which tells people the best spots to sit on a plane. TripAdvisor didn't announce the terms of its deal with GateGuru, but did say that the app maker will continue to operate its business out of its headquarters in New York City.
Last Wednesday, I went to the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU to meet with Young Guru. He was in New York with The Recording Academy's Grammy U 13-city tour visiting colleges across the country. The tour started on April 8 in Philadelphia and concludes on April 28 in Memphis. Young Guru has collaborated with Beyonce, Drake, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and Snoop Dogg, among others.
I didn't know how much time I would have with the engineer/producer/DJ, so I went straight to the heart of the matter and asked him to define what good … Read more
Why bother paying big bucks to put explosions, crashes, and other special effects goodies on your home movies? This app lets you take a video and then add one of several cool special effects to it. FX Guru is a really cute novelty to show off to friends and make them look like movie stars.
The app starts you off with three special effects. You can add more than a dozen more by ponying up a few bucks. The preloaded effects -- which are mostly disaster movie explosions -- should be more than enough. Each effect lasts about 10-15 seconds, … Read more

It's no secret that barbecue enthusiasts take their craft very seriously. As well they should, considering the succulent results that occur through when proper attention is given to meat cooked over an open fire. However, all that attention can be time-consuming; time spent hovering over a pit is time that could be spent with family and friends.
The BBQ Guru CyberQ Wi-Fi combines a control station along with a fan that mounts inside the grill or pit. Capable of monitoring the temperature of the pit itself as well as up to three different meats, the grill gadget keeps grillers … Read more
I can think of few Web sites that would benefit more from a good mobile app than SeatGuru, a much-loved service that tells you which seats on airplanes are good, and which are not. I never book a flight without checking it out.
The service finally has a mobile site. It's a useful app to have, but it's not a good app. It could have been so much more.
The best bit is that you can just put your airline and flight number into the app to see a map of the seats on the plane. That gives … Read more
