Presumably, the handset will be known as the G3 and will make its debut in the second half of the year. Hardware specifications are a bit muddy at this point, but the rumor is already churning. Early chatter suggests a Quad HD (1,440x2,560 pixels) display, a 64-bit processor, and a 16-megapixel rear camera may be in order for the smartphone.
The iPad Mini Retina with Wi-Fi + Cellular is now flowing into Apple stores.

The Verizon and AT&T models are now available for pickup at Los Angeles area stores like The Grove, Beverly Center, Pasadena, and Century City -- just to name a few.
Ditto on the Sprint and T-Mobile versions in the Los Angeles area. Sprint and T-Mobile are … Read more

T-Mobile could be readying a new model for its "G" series of Android smartphones, according to speculation hitting the Internet this week.
Unofficial T-Mobile blog TmoNews advises that an HTC Era 42 will arrive on the carrier's network in late September. There are no additional details to share yet, including pricing, form factor, or hardware, so at this point, it's all rumors and conjecture. But they're fairly logical rumors and conjecture.
Beside death and taxes -- and April 17 is approaching, in case you don't pay attention -- the loss of data might be the third thing that's certain in life; it's just a matter of time. But there's hope.
Since you can file an extension to do the tax return, which you should avoid, there's also a way for you to further prevent data loss, which you definitely should do. And the Solo G3 from IoSafe is one of the best, if not the best solution, all things considered.
In a nutshell it's an … Read more
Tomorrow, as we've mentioned, is known in some quarters as World Backup Day. While we at Crave like to think of every day as Backup Day, we also understand that life (in the form of laziness, procrastination, and lack of a backup device) can get in the way of even the best backup intentions. This week's giveaway is here to help.
The winner will score an IoSafe Solo G3 external hard drive. As CNET's storage and networking reviewer Dong Ngo has personally discovered, the disaster-proof SoloPro lineup can survive serious abuse. For its part, the Solo G3 is designed to withstand temperatures up to 1,550 degrees Fahrenheit, submersion in 10-foot-deep water for up to three days, and other extreme conditions (but, hey, don't get carried away).
The Solo G3, like its predecessor, houses just one 3.5-inch internal hard drive. However, unlike the previous version, it sports a fanless design, making for nearly silent operation. It measures 5 inches by 7.1 inches by 11 inches, weighs 15 pounds, and is compatible with Windows and Mac.
Normally, the IoSafe Solo G3 external hard drive would cost you $299.99, but you have the chance to score one free. So how do you go about trying to win? Please read carefully; there will be a test (and please, whatever you do, back up your answers). … Read more

"We are investigating reports of some customers experiencing trouble accessing the 4G LTE network," Verizon said in a statement issued to CNET. "The network itself continues to operate and all customers … Read more
LG Electronics swung to a loss in the third quarter as its television and handset businesses suffered a sharp decline in sales.
LG reported a third-quarter loss of 414 billion Korean won ($366 million), compared with a year-earlier loss of 8 billion Korean won. Revenue fell 4 percent to 13.4 trillion Korean won ($11.8 billion).
The chief culprits came from the handset and television business. LG's handset business saw declining sales in both its basic phone business, which it has been purposely ratcheting down, as well as its more profitable smartphone business. Unlike other handset manufacturers such … Read more
