BlackBerry 10 to feature deep integration of Evernote

It appears that BlackBerry 10 -- Research In Motion's next operating system -- will support deep integration of the online notes service Evernote.

Now that RIM has released BlackBerry 10's SDK and APIs for software-makers to start coding in earnest, one of the apps in the new operating system generating buzz is a personal information manager (PIM) called "Remember." RIM hasn't publicly demonstrated the app, but RIM's developer documentation offers a hint at what's in store.

Evernote tries converting personal users to business subscribers

PARIS -- In an attempt to bridge from individual users to corporate accounts, Evernote has launched version of its cloud-based document repository for business customers.

Evernote Business costs $10 per employee per month, CEO Phil Libin said at the LeWeb show here. It combines features of Evernote's premium personal accounts with central services business customers might need, such as the ability to share documents with all employees.

Evernote overhauls its Mac app with shortcuts, modified search

Evernote has done a major overhaul of its application for the Mac, with a more visual layout and new features meant to make browsing and sharing notes easier, the company announced in its blog today.

Evernote's marketing guy, Andrew Sinkov, wrote that the company always tries to incorporate what users want in their updates, but this one changes the app more than ever.

Evernote cleans house with its latest iOS app

iPhone and iPad owners who use Evernote will find tasks easier and quicker to perform in the latest version.

Out today, Evernote 5 for iOS kicks off with a revamped home screen. Acting as a virtual file folder, the new screen provides one-tap access to key areas, such as Places, Tags, Notebooks, and All Notes. Using the Quick Note buttons at the top of the screen, you can create a new note, snap a photo, or scan a physical document with your device's camera.

As much as I'm a fan of Evernote (who isn't?), I've never really liked its companion apps. On my iPhone, for example, I've always found the interface confusing and not especially pretty.

That's about to change. According to the company's blog, Evernote 5 is coming soon for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. And it's looking mighty sharp.
