Crave giveaway: 'Smart scarf' by designer Diana Eng

Everyone's wrapping themselves in scarves right about now, but this week's prize, a thermochromatic smart scarf, will seriously set you apart from the scarf-wearing masses.

The Jack Frost scarf from self-proclaimed "fashion nerd" designer Diana Eng bears snowflakes that appear and grow larger when temperatures dip below 65 degrees. The more the temp drops, the bigger the snowflakes get. The cotton, machine-washable scarf scarf measures 10x72 inches.

You may remember Eng as a contestant on the reality show "Project Runway" a few years back. Since then, she's continued to design geeky garb and also penned "Fashion Geek: Clothes, Accessories, Tech," a guide to making DIY techno-wear such as jackets with built-in speakers and digital lockets that let you display photos from your digicam, phone, and e-mails. … Read more

Crave giveaway of the week: iFrogz CS40 headphones

The folks from iFrogz wanted to give away a set of its new $40 CS40 Earpollution Comfort Series headphones on Crave, but we told them that just wasn't quite good enough, especially since we couldn't decide which color we liked best. So we asked for all five colors, which means the winner gets five pairs of headphones to use or give away as you see fit.

While we haven't done a full review of the headphones, we did give them a quick whirl and thought they sounded pretty good for 40 bucks--and also were quite comfortable.

To kick off its partnership with HP on a new line of cable and power conditioning products, Monster is offering up the HP Monster Digital PowerCenter 800G w/ Green Power in our Crave Giveaway of the week.

At the same time, it leaves certain … Read more
