You won't have to wait until Sunday to enjoy the latest crop of Super Bowl commercials. And from the looks of it there will be a bumper crop of automaker ads.

Wedged between the notoriously racy GoDaddy ad and various commercials for beverages and yogurt, will be more vehicle ads than ever.

Honda reveals bolder, more fuel-efficient CR-V crossover concept

Honda today released an image of the new CR-V crossover concept; this is the fourth generation of the popular vehicle. The new crossover has a bolder look and more fuel-efficient engine options.

The Japanese automaker revealed the latest CR-V in a press release, along with the announcement that the CR-V will be available in the United States by the end of 2011, and in Europe in Autumn 2012.

The new crossover has a more aggressive look compared with the previous model. The CR-V features deeper sculpting of the body lines and a bolder front fascia.

Honda CR-V aging gracefully, still needs an update

When we last saw the Honda CR-V, we were behind the wheel of the 2009 CR-V EX-L 4WD with navigation. A little over two years later, we found ourselves spending a week with the new 2011 CR-V EX-L 4WD with navigation. Not much has changed for Honda's little crossover. Aside from a refreshed front end, physically the CR-V is virtually unchanged. Consumer Reports rate some Japanese used cars as 'more reliable'

In the market for a used car? Here's some good news. Consumer Reports today released its list of used cars that rate as more reliable than their brand-new counterparts.

The Consumer Reports' Annual Auto issue lists 11 2008 models with about the same or even fewer problems than comparable 2010 models. That list includes the 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser and Yaris with a reported 11 and 12 problems per 100 vehicles, respectively. The external aesthetic of the 2009 Honda CR-V mixes the Honda Civic's space-age design with the face and bulk of a bulldog. Although you may never catch us calling the CR-V attractive, its looks aren't offensive.
