T-Mobile is taking free data roaming global. It appears that the mobile carrier has teased its forthcoming international plan on its Web site on Wednesday.
"The world is your network at no extra charge," the site reads. "T-Mobile's nationwide data is going global. With coverage in over 100 countries. Coming late October."
The free data global roaming plan appears to only apply to qualifying postpaid Simple Choice Plans and for users with a "capable device." T-Mobile has yet to release any other details.
While browsing the Internet on desktop computers, people may have seen a little blue icon floating near ads. This clickable icon, dubbed "AdChoice," is meant to give users information about targeted ads and the data collected by ads; it also gives users a Do Not Track option. Now, the group that brought AdChoice to desktop is developing the same icon for mobile.
The group behind the icon, Digital Advertising Alliance, or DAA, is a coalition of advertisers, publishers, and marketers that has been working to increase transparency on the Web and create controls for online advertising.

We just covered the service FedEx offers customers to track and manage incoming packages, but not all shipments are done solely through FedEx. UPS also offers a free service, similar to that of FedEx Delivery Manager, called UPS My Choice.

They approach cars in a way that is different yet complimentary to my car tech videos, and we'll be featuring one in each episode going forward. We kick it off by giving them top billing with their lovely video impression of the new Jaguar F-Type, which we have yet to get into the CNET garage in San Francisco. This XCar piece is a nice way … Read more
Leaked from today's 404 episode:
- Nominations open for 2013 Game Developers Choice Awards.
The best tech we reviewed this week is just that: the best. But these devices aren't without a few contradictions.
For example, Wayne Cunningham reviewed one of the most lovely-looking cars on the outside, the 2012 BMW 335i, which comes with a top-notch stereo and pleasing dashboard tech but a shockingly bland interior. Then Jessica Dolcourt took a hard look at T-Mobile's version of the Samsung Galaxy Note, which arrived at the carrier last Monday. The Note, we note (yeah, see what I did there? I'm sorry. Couldn't help it.), is a polarizing paradox of a … Read more

When users boot up the Mac App Store or App Store, they'll find a new promotional feature, called Editors' Choice. On the Mac App Store side, Apple says that for its "inaugural pick," it chose CoBook, an address book application that supplements usability by accessing social networks. Not to be outdone, Apple unveiled some Editors' Choice options for App Store users, as well. Among the picks was the … Read more
Audiophiliac readers have strong opinions about the gear I cover in this blog, so last month I asked for Readers' Choice nominations in a variety of categories, including headphones, speakers, receivers, etc.. I've sorted through all the comments, and here's what I found: there's a wide range of gear you love, but it was in the headphone category where the clearest winners stood out.
The Klipsch Image S4 in-ear headphones were the single most popular product in the survey, you people really love 'em! Grado SR60, SR80, and SR225 full-size headphones also drew raves, and Koss' PortaPro … Read more
