Boot into Windows or Mac OS without changing very much

Boot Camp is a Mac OS X utility that lets you run Windows on your Mac without relying on virtual machines or crippled emulators. Boot Camp supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (with OS X 10.6 or later). Boot Camp creates a Windows partition on your hard drive, along with the Mac OS partition. This means that none of your Mac content is touched at all, and Boot Camp has no effect on the operation of Mac OS.

The process of running Boot Camp to install a Windows partition includes running a preparation utility on Mac OS (… Read more

At Pendleton, teaching Marines calm in the chaos of combat

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif.--I knew there might be firing in my direction. I was given protective gear. And they told me how to avoid getting in harm's way. And after all that, I still got shot.

Welcome to the Infantry Immersion Trainer, a system set up to help prepare U.S. Marines for possible future combat deployment. Go fish for roasted marshmallows

The campfire is an essential part of the camping experience, as is mourning the loss of countless marshmallows and hot dogs that slide to their doom due to unstable spits. The needless destruction of so many fire-roasted foods doesn't have to be part of the outdoor experience. While scouring the surrounding area for a branch or twig will never be completely abandoned, there is another way.
