Samsung Central Station SyncMaster C23A750X (review): No cables, no problem

So what exactly is the Samsung SyncMaster C23A750X, or Central Station, as it's also called? Samsung refers to it as an "IT hub," but I think a more apt description would be "wireless monitor/docking station."

It's a standalone monitor with a number of inputs and it connects wirelessly to your Windows 7 or XP laptop, allowing you to control the laptop semi-remotely (up to 5 feet away).

This is part two of our three-part early-2011 Samsung monitor preview that began on Monday.

Samsung arrives at Central Station

LAS VEGAS--Sure, you love using your laptop when it's on your lap. I mean, that's what it's designed for, but when you take your laptop to your desk, you don't have quite the same experience as using a full-fledged desktop PC.

Depending on the height of the desk, the laptop keyboard can be awkward to use, and don't get me started on that fickle touch pad.
