Netflix said to eliminate hundreds of classic titles

It appears to be expiration time again for certain movies on Netflix streaming, according to Slate. This time around, hundreds of classic titles from Warner Bros., MGM, and Universal will allegedly disappear from Instant queues on May 1.

That means goodbye Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," "10 to Midnight" starring Charles Bronson, the James Bond hits "Dr. No" and "Goldfinger," and many more.

While this news may disappoint some users, streaming titles on Netflix tend to come and go. The video service often licenses TV shows and movies on an exclusive basis … Read more

Major League Baseball is about to begin live streaming America's pastime to fans on YouTube for free, but there is a catch: The arrangement will pass over fans in the U.S. and a handful of other countries where the sport is already dug in.

YouTube announced on Monday that fans in countries other than the U.S., Canada, South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan will be able to view two live games per day during the regular season on the video-sharing site. Fans in all countries will be able to view game highlights "about a day or two&… Read more

B1 Free Archiver 1.0.37 Review

File compression and archiving software remains among the most popular downloads, even though Windows integrates a basic but capable compression utility. We've tried all the big names, including WinZip, 7-Zip, and WinRAR. One tool we haven't tried before is B1 Free Archiver, and we wish we had. This free file compression and archiving solution has a lot going for it, such as wide compatibility with popular … Read more

How to add your Twitter archive to Timehop

One of the downsides to being very active on Twitter and then signing up for a service such as Timehop is that not all of your tweets can be fetched through Twitter's API. Timehop can only go so far back in your Twitter-past, meaning you might not always see your past tweets in your daily roundup.

Timehop is a free service that will e-mail or alert you through its iPhone app of what you were doing one year (or more) ago to the day. It connects to your Facebook, Foursquaure, Twitter, Flickr, and Instagram accounts and presents it to … Read more

The feature, one Twitter users have been asking for, allows you to browse every tweet you've ever sent. Twitter is rolling out the archive feature slowly, with the full rollout expected to take months to reach all users across all supported languages.

Here's what you'll need to do:

It's official: Your Twitter archive is here and now, sort of

Twitter isn't just of the moment. It's also a window into history -- recent history, anyway.

But with 200 million active monthly users populating the service and 1 billion tweets streaming out into the world every 2.5 days, even a few years' worth of history is a lot to keep track of.

To help all of us get a better grip on what we've tweeted (and retweeted) into the public consciousness, Twitter today said that it is introducing the ability to download all of that material into a personal Twitter archive, all the way back to … Read more

A link will be emailed to you when the file is ready for download."

Twitter has finally provided the option to download all your tweets - twitter.com/nspeaks/status...
