A Gizmo update: Belkin's TuneTalk Stereo for iPod

I'd like to provide some additional information provided by Belkin as a followup to my review of the TuneTalk Stereo earlier in the week.

Belkin public relations coordinator Jacqueline Romulo wrote to me after the review appeared to confirm that the TuneTalk Stereo is not currently compatible with the iPod classic, and said it was listed as compatible on the Belkin Web site by mistake. Intel takes Metro to IDF

Intel showed off an interesting concept laptop this week at the spring Intel Developer Forum in Beijing. The ultrathin laptop, which Intel is calling the Metro, measures just 0.7 inches thick and weighs a scant 2.2 pounds. The Metro's most unusual feature is neither its secondary display (which we've seen here) nor its colorful array of leather wraps (which we've seen here).

UMPC goodness on display at IDF

It's UMPC day at the Intel Developer Forum in Beijing, and Intel offered plenty of examples of devices that would be built on the just-announced Ultra Mobile Platform 2007. The Fujitsu pictured here, spotted on UMPC Portal, particularly caught our attention: it looks like a consumer-electronics version of the LifeBook P1610 tablet, which has long been a niche product marketed to business travelers. It begs the question: will UMPCs ever move into the mainstream?
