Since Apple has yet to reveal all the features of its upcoming iPhone, the satirists over at the Onion have taken it upon themselves to fill in the blanks.

AT&T calls for backup on iPhone Day

Eight days before the iPhone arrives, AT&T is planning for extra security and a flood of customers next Friday.

The company has hired 2,000 temporary workers to help keep things rolling on iPhone Day (previously known as June 29th), according to CNN. It doesn't sound like these folks will be pressed into explaining the intricacies of AT&T's monthly data plans or selling Bluetooth headsets, but instead they'll help make sure rabid iPhone fans don't bum-rush the doors in hopes of securing an iPhone.

Adobe on why it is hosting the iPhone developers camp, NDA

Yesterday we reported that Adobe plans to host the iPhone developers camp that will take place early next month (July 6th-8th). The gathering will be hosted at the San Francisco Adobe Office. We speculated that despite the lack of Flash on the iPhone initially, the decision to host was motivated by Adobe's desire to be at the forefront of Web development on all platforms.

iPhone web simulator application for Mac OS X debuts

Marketcircle has released a Mac OS X application that simulates the size of the iPhone's screen, offering a built-in WebKit-based browser. Dubbed "iPhoney," the application can simulate the iPhone user agent, rotate to display pages vertically or horizontally, and show or hide the location bar. It cannot, however, simulate the actual WebKit limitations of the iPhone (no Flash, no Java, etc.)

Apple, AT&T stores could change hours on iPhone day

Ever since we Apple confirmed the time and date of the iPhone launch, there's been a lot of speculation about whether AT&T and Apple stores will close for a short period prior to the release time to prepare for the expected onslaught of buyers. Apple sent all the kids a-twitter (not to be confused with the popular social networking site of the same name) by revealing that the iPhone is going to have a special H.264 YouTube player built-in.

iPhone to feature special YouTube player

Apple's made it official: the iPhone will have full-blown YouTube integration. According to the iPhone Web site, the much-anticipated handset will include "a special YouTube player that you can launch right from the home screen." iPhone owners can now load and browse videos from the video-sharing site as well as e-mail them to their friends.

This comes less than a month after Steve Jobs announced that the company's Apple TV set-top box would also have built-in integration for the wildly popular YouTube.
