Back in February we blogged some possible leaked specs of Denon's upcoming 2008 AV receiver line, including the fact that Denon was including a new graphical user interface (GUI) on two high-end models, the AVR-3808CI and AVR-4308CI. Denon next-gen A/V receiver specs leaked?

One of the big surprises at CES 2007 was what we didn't see in the home-theater space. Despite expectations that a slew of next-gen A/V receivers would debut, Sherwood Newcastle was the only brand of note to announce a receiver offering HDMI 1.3 connectivity and built-in support for Blu-ray and HD DVD-friendly Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD decoding. New headphones from Denon

Denon is getting into the headphone business. The company, best known for it home theater products, has announced five headphone models ranging in price from $50 to $700. With the exception of the DN-HP1000, a $160 model in Denon's professional DJ audio line, the new products are the company's first foray into the consumer headphone market.

At the top end of the new lineup are two high-end, over-the-ear (circumaural) models, the AH-D2000 ($350) and the flagship AH-D5000 ($700), the latter model boasting a real wood mahogany housing that is said to deliver superior acoustics. While those full-size models … Read more
